I am some dude that lives in Australia NSW. I am a man of many hobbies, including but not limited to: music production, chess, neuroscience, cube puzzles, cardistry and card games, retro first person shooters. I am not a beginner to programming however, I'm far from a pro (aren't we all).
I've "played around" with c++, python. But that was when I was younger and had the attention span of a goldfish, and smoked too much weed. But I am glad I did because it's helping me now learn C programming at a faster pace. I know about functions, loops, globals, the difference between programming paradigms like OOP and procedural languages etc etc...
So Why am I learning C? Isn't that sort of an obsolete language these days? Why not be with the cool kids and use Python? Well, I have several reasons. One being that I want a better understanding of the low level, under the bonnet of programming and it's concepts. Assembly, which is basically at the rawest level of code is too low for me and looks tedious. C is also the programming language responsible for making some of my most favorite video games, such as Quake, Dwarf Fortress, Doom, Half-Life, Super Mario classic etc... Lastly, the skills I learn in C will make it very easy for me in the future to transfer to other languages. If you know C, you're a weapon!
Now, what this page is not. This page is not about my whole life. It won't feature cat pictures, tiled backgrounds and fancy javascript. I'm not crossing my fingers hoping to gain a huge following.
